In 1992 I was a youth leader and trainer at the D-youth of Tubantia. At that time the club was growing rapidly and the youth teams had reached such a level that we dared to register for an international tournament. And that was at Stensballe IK, a football club near Horsens. With the bus there with the necessary delay at the border because there were still border controls at that time. Spending the night was in the classrooms of the adjacent school.

In the tournament we played against great clubs such as AFC from Amsterdam or international opponents. It was difficult against English clubs because apparently the age limits were slightly different there and that quickly makes a difference with the D-youth. The schedule allowed for a trip to Legoland which is located about 60 km inland in Billund. In the evening we also went to the nearby beach. All in all a nice experience for everyone.
