The setting of the photo above is one of my favorites. It is one of the most beautiful pictures in Hengelo and in my opinion worthy of a monument. I cycle past it every day. Below are a few more pictures that I have already taken on the bike. It is exactly what makes Twente (and the Achterhoek) so beautiful: the scenic landscape, the farms with the white wind springs, the shutters and the 'nien' doors and the manufacturers' villas, the water mills and the castles. Twente is rightfully one of the most beautiful parts of the Netherlands!
